Another excellent stay at the Sukhothai.

Pros: The breakfast, the swimming pool, the club lounge, the staff.

Will most likely go back if I return to Bangkok someday.

Pros: You don’t have to travel outside of Bangkok to enjoy a nice vacation. The hotel is located in a beautiful, green yard surrounded by ponds and lovely trees. The hotel grounds don’t make you feel like you’re in a busy and dirty capital city. The staff were extremely friendly, and the breakfast was excellent. The rooms are nothing special, but they are definitely worth the price.

Cons: Most rooms are without a balcony, which would be nice to have since the hotel grounds are beautiful and the views are stunning.

Fabulous hotel. Would love to return some day

Pros: Fabulous breakfast. Serene, relaxing pool away from the bustle of Bangkok. Comfortable beds.

Cons: Nothing really but if I needed to find a couple of small things. Too many mirrors in the bathroom - confusing! Occasional slightly cold cappuccino.

High-class hotel

Pros: Very high standard hotel, professional and courteous staff, spacious room, large bathroom, comfortable bed, great pool, excellent breakfast

Classy, calm and purely Thai!

Pros: This hotel is a piece of tranquility in the city centre. It was a pleasure to stay here since the overall quality is very high. We stayed at the club wing side. Here are the highlights: Positives: - pristine room cleanliness! I honestly think this was the most clean bedroom in any hotel! - great service troughout. - condition of the materials was better than expected even the older things. - pool was warm and very clean. The tiles were in perfect condition. - food quality was very good. - the sound of the property birds gave a very tropical feeling each morning. - bath amenities were very good. Diptyque Phylosikos. - amazing gym and sauna! - beautiful natural Christmas tree pine.

Cons: Negatives: - the lounge was very disappointing. Lack of food variety and quantity. Honestly I think it would be preferable to have option to stay in the club wing section without actual club lounge acess for a discount or to really improve the lounge offerings. I felt it was very poor, almost miserable.. - pool location. The pool gets in shade most of the afternoon so it is best usable in the morning, but the water is also colder. The parking lot next to the hotel could be better camouflaged with plants. Some terrace curtains could also be improved to give a more uppscale feeling in the pool area. Pool WC were old/ poor and with lots of mosquitoes - should be considered a renovation. - spa services on the upper high cost. - breakfast restaurant. It needs an uplift and nicer decor with prestigious pieces. One frustrating aspect was the breakfast AC which was crazy cold everyday. Many people were asking to change tables to run from AC wind areas everyday. Just totally unnecessary. - room AC noise could not be completely turn off at night. - I miss oil burners or natural oil diffusors that many thai hotels display everywhere. - room should have more lights.

An outstanding 5* hotel

Pros: We have stayed at many excellent 5* hotels and the staff at the Sukhothai were by far the best. Miss Best, a server at breakfast was the most delightful, attentive and competent and all the staff were sensational

Cons: There was nothing we didn’t like about the Sukhothai. Great pool, gym, room and restaurants. Breakfast was outstanding.
