Aurum The River Place

Amazing location and pleasant staff

Pros: The staff was absolutely fantastic. The location was amazing to get to the temples and the boat ride. The breakfast (recommended, although not a buffet) by the river offers a great way to start your day. Room was clean and comfortable.

Cons: The breakfast is not a buffet. We absolutely did not mind so I just mention it as a ‘heads up’.

Pros: Personal touch all staff went the extra mile, very clean and comfortable.

Lovely little hotel in a brilliant location

Pros: Great location, good size room, really nice staff, lovely breakfast overlooking the river with views of Wat Arun.

Lovely place between the river and the temple of the reclining Buddha

Pros: Location was excellent, well appointed room and great breakfast views.

Pros: Receptionist is realy helpful (forgot to ask her name). ,very informative when ask for directions of places even write it down .Walking distance to What pho and Grand Palace, can see rhe Wat Arun from the cafe of hotel. Nice restaurant just round the corner .

Cons: After checking out on the way to the airport, i recieved a message asking about the bathrobe if i would have seen it or know where it is as cleaner cant find. i feel like ive been acused of taking it home. I have small luggage cant barely fit my own clothes coz i dont want hassle so im not interested of robe .no thank you.

Pros: The hotel has friendly English-speaking staff who made us feel very welcome. The breakfast is directly on the riverside with a lovely view of Wat A run and our room had a temple and river view (with a window that opened). Long tall boats go up and down the river. The location is great - walking distance to the palace and many of the most famous temples and pretty close to a metro and ferry boat stop.

Cons: Can't think of anything except that only one side of the bed had plug sockets. Otherwise everything was perfect and we will stay again.

the perfect place to start our Thai holiday

Pros: The hotel location is excellent, being 2 minutes walk from Wat Pho and five minutes from the Metro and river bus pier. The delightful breakfast is taken by the river, the hotel is spotless and the room has all that you need with a very comfortable King sized bed.

Perfect stay

Pros: Our stay at Aurum was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. The hotel is beautifully kept, comfortable, and has a calm, welcoming atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at ease. The location is ideal for exploring Bangkok, with two piers just steps away and a metro station within easy walking distance, making sightseeing effortless and very convenient. Breakfast was excellent and served on a charming terrace overlooking Wat Arun, a truly memorable way to start the day and one of the highlights of our stay. A heartfelt thank you to Pam at the reception, who went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. She was exceptionally warm, professional, and attentive, always ready to assist and genuinely caring about our experience. Her hospitality truly elevated our stay. We would highly recommend Aurum to anyone looking for comfort, great service, and a perfect base for exploring the city. We would gladly return without hesitation.

Pros: Staff were fabulous, breakfast was superb, excellent location at a great price.

Cons: A bit of river noise that they can't do anything about and then shower could have had more water pressure.

Pros: We rented 2 rooms with the river views. Overall, we like the location since it's walkable to the temples and the grand palace. The bed is comfortable. Some of the staff, especially Pan(?), was friendly and helpful.

Cons: Our room, although with the great river view, didn't have drawers and very little storage space for 2 of us. Breakfast was basic and we had to wait a long time to get served at time. The bathtub was really high and it was not easy for getting in and out of the shower.
