Best location in Bangkok and lovely riverside views

Pros: We upgraded on arrival to a river view room and it was definitely worth the supplemement for the fantastic view over the river and the hotel pool. We loved having breakfast outside right by the river and planning our day. Returning hot and tired and being able to cool off in the pool was an added bonus! We loved being so close( 3 mins walk) to the Phra Arthit ferry stop which you can reach by a path behind the swimming pool. The hotel is also super close to Khaosan Rd and Ram Buttri Rd - easiest way is to take the alleyway beside the small 7-eleven near the hotel. Everything is in walking distance or hop on a ferry and go down the river . Best location we have ever stayed in Bangkok and will be returning!

Location location location!

Pros: Wonderful location on river, with orange flag 'water buses' stopping 2 mins away, and all Khaosan's restaurants/bars round the corner. Pay the extra for a river view room! Inclusive breakfast option is worth having. Pool well maintained and essential after days out in Bangkok's heat

Cons: Small pool area usually very busy, but not enough loungers/seats

Pros: This was our third stay at the New Siam, it's a lovely 3* hotel on the riverside with a pool which since our last visit has had a refurb and the breakfast was definitely better with more choice. The rooms are dated yes but the beds are comfy, I would recommend going for the riverview rooms. For the location it is fantastic value for money and just a short distance from the Grand palace and the Koa sak Road.

Pros: Lovely room, friendly staff, good choice at breakfast. Ideal walking distance to bars/ restaurants. Good food/ drinks menu if needed. Lovely pool overlooking the river.
