Haheng House

Pros: I can’t recommend this place enough. This honestly felt like a home away from home. I felt welcomed and relaxed as soon as I got in. The staff are very attentive but give you the space to breathe. Even with the communication barrier, they were super helpful and made this stay work really smoothly. As a solo, black female traveller, I felt safe and secure at all points. I even left one of my phones at the property and they didn’t hesitate to let me know. Location wise, it’s 20 mins drive from central Bangkok so which wasn’t a bad commute. There’s still much to do in the area. There’s a nail shop ten mins away which I also recommend and a massage place two mins away. Hopefully I can come back soon.

Nothing left to wish for

Pros: Amazing accommodation with great style and comfort

Pros: I loved the location if your looking for a real bangkok experience, it's close by to 3 corner shops and the local area is amazing lovely food for great prices most of my Meals cost 50Baht. The facilities are great all you need for a stay in BKK

Cons: Not much apart from some loud cats but that's to be expected

Good choice for your stay in Bangkok

Pros: The location itself is far from the city - however in about 1km you will find the boat pier that takes you to the center of Bangkok. We also enjoyed the location - really local and authentic with supermarkets and restaurants just a couple of minutes walking. We recommend you to, at least, one day, wake up at 6am so you may see the locals seeling their produts in the street. The bed was the most comfortable of our full trip so far. Clean and tidy - the staff also cleans your room if you wish. We stayed for 5 days and asked for this service twice. They changed all towels and bed sheets. The bathroom and room itself has also huge, with a living room (sofa, tv, table and chairs) Staff was really attentive and nice - they respond quick to any problem.

Cons: The bathtub did not had any protection so by the end of your shower, the bathroom is all wet. However, he believe that is the “normality” in Thailand since we faced this problem everywhere. There were a few places that were not clean, the more hidden ones (draws, under the bed, windows,…) Some difficulties with the hot water.

Wonderful place - would be my choice again

Pros: Overall is a very comfortable place to stay. Bed and pillows are really good, air conditioning works perfectly, huge bathroom with natural light and complimentary water daily. Nearby you have a 7/11 and a Lotus supermarket. The neighborhood is very local and every morning and evening you will find locals selling their products.

Cons: We could hear loud motorbikes passing though the street; bathtub doesn’t have a curtain or any protection, so all floor guest wet.

A premium experience

Pros: Very cosy, quiet and clean. The bath was a huge bonus. The room had a private garden with a table. It was beautifully designed. Free coffee in the lobby area. The bed was super comfy and sheets were good quality. The shampoo and shower gel was high quality.

Great value for money, absolutely recommended!

Pros: Everything was great! Big room and bathroom, everything clean and comfortable. The location is a bit far from the old town (10 min by scooter), but there’s a bus stop nearby and you can use Grab to get anywhere. Since it’s a residential area it’s very quiet at night.

Cons: The window looks out onto some plants so it’s mainly dark, but there’s a door to the little terrace so you can have air flowing in the room

Great stay for a great price

Pros: The room and bathroom were really spacious and clean. Easy access and staff responded really quickly.

Cons: This is absolutely not the property’s fault but some guests came in at about 2am and made so much noise they woke us up. So perhaps telling people to be respectful could be useful.

Historical and comfortable guest house in Dusit

Pros: The guest house is located in a quiet and residential area. There are lots of options for groceries and takeouts all around. The bedroom I had was massive with a comfy bed and a living room area. The bathroom was also very large. There is a shared fridge and staying there for a week, I can confirm that nobody took my items. The place is very clean and well maintained.

Cons: There are no double glazing for the windows so sometimes you might hear a few trucks or chatting outside in the morning. It would be great if the owner could leave a steamer and a hair dryer in the common area, for guests to use. The bathroom only has gel shower and shampoo as amenities.
