PIER 808 Hostel

Clean and comfy hostel, very central in Bangkok (Chinatown)

Pros: Fairly new hostel in Chinatown, Bangkok. We had a 2 person room. Clean, quiet, comfortable, good AC. Shared bathrooms were clean. Accessible with stairs or elevator. Free water/tea/coffee, rooftop terrace with great via of Bangkok skyline. Very centrally located; close to MRT station, Chinatown night market, river ferry etc.

Cons: Reception only manned until 8 PM. So a late check in or collecting your bags for a late flight is an issue.

Pros: for this purpose in a 6-bedroom womens dorm it's quite well equipped and everything is new and clean, and quiet. nice rooftop also. very close to chinatown, songwat and thalad noi in walking distance. i would recommend it if you're looking for a inexpensive way to stay.

Cons: the cleaning smell in the bathrooms facility was quite strong.

Pros: The location was superb. Easy access to Chinatown (don't miss Song Wat Road and Yaworat Road), Icon Siam, Grand Palace, Wat Arun, Wat Pho. Easy transportation options and the cheap ferries along the river. Currency exchange right accross the road and a cute western style cafe for early morning breakfast. The room was large, the bed and pillows super comfortable and everything spotless. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. We ended up arriving at 3.30am after a 7 hour flight delay and staff couldn't be friendlier even after being woken up at that time. Also, great Rooftop views of the river at Sunset

Nice place for a short visit to Bangkok

Pros: We love the location in Chinatown close to the pier to Wat Arun. The staff was super nice and we felt warmly received. Everything was clean and there is a nice rooftop terrace.

Cons: The room is tiny. It didn't bother us for a short stay, just be aware.

Pros: Excellent location. Next to main river, ferry building 2 min walk away for hop on hop off boat, walking distance to flower market. 8 minutes from China Town, and the amazing night market that opens 11 pm is 5 min walk away. The most amazing friendly staff. And the rooftop terrace ia great.

Cons: Couldn't stay longer

Great hostel in a lively area

Pros: The staff were awesome - the lady who operates reception gave me great recommendations for places to eat and visit in Bangkok, and also helped me with tips for navigating the city. The hostel is a very short walk from the Ratchawong pier, which gives you easy access to major attractions. Beds were very comfortable and bathrooms were clean.

Cons: Nothing!
