Central Old Town Cottage

Quirky cool little place - lovely stay!

Pros: We loved the quirky vibe of this cool little place. It’s super close to major sites and temples—everything was an easy 10–15 minute walk. Having the café downstairs was really convenient for breakfast or a quick bite, and the staff were friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. We stayed in the triple room, which worked well for two friends traveling together. Just note that one of the beds is accessed by a very steep ladder, so it wouldn’t be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. The beds were very comfortable, and we especially loved the projector—we spent one evening watching Netflix with takeaway!

Cons: The room was quite small for two people sharing and felt fairly dark, as the triple room only has two small windows. There also wasn’t a huge amount of storage space, which made it a bit tricky with luggage for two. The shower head was positioned quite low—I had to bend my knees to fit under it, and I’m only 5ft 4. Also, bear in mind there is no metro station nearby so beyond local sites, you will need to get Grabs/taxis to get around.

Excellent Guest House

Pros: The Staff couldn't do enough for us even down to making us breakfast to take out as we went on a couple of early morning trips. The room was really comfortable and had everything we could have asked for nothing was a problem if we needed anything. The breakfast was superb and if you needed extra there was no problem I would recommend this guest house to everyone

Cons: The stairs were very steep but manageable

Quaint

Pros: This is a lovely quaint old hotel. The room was fitted out with all the amenities you could want even though you had to go up some wooden stairs to get to the fridge and kettle. The staff were very friendly and on arrival you are given a helpful map which tells you where the tourist attractions are.

Cons: The only downside, is that there are no lifts, due to the age of the property and therefore, because of my age, I struggled to get my cases up and down the stairs and also to get to the kettle and fridge. Definitely a place for the younger generation.

Fantastic stay

Pros: As soon as we arrived at the accommodation we were welcomed by the girls with huge smiles and a welcome drink. They explained everything about the accommodation and were so helpful, we honestly couldn't have asked for more. The room was great and had everything we could have wished for and more. It was spotless and the little extras that were supplied such as water, coke, etc... were a lovely touch. The breakfast that was supplied in the price was fantastic and had a great amount of choice. We would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone and the area is perfect for exploring the temples.

Pros: Location-calm yet close to the Khao San St. and most important temples. Staff-they could not have been more helpful during our first days there. Room details that make a difference-it's got its soul. General cosiness of both the hotel and the room. Comfortable beds. Breakfast options around.

Cons: I did not mind much, but there are steep and somehow slippery stairs up. The street is semi-busy- at night every minute you hear a roar of a bike or tuktuk-so sensitive sleepers can choose something calmer for the first jetlag nights. Also some noises from plumbing or from the floor above.

Cons: I booked this room for the bath but it needed to be filled from the shower and water not very warm, so I was disappointed not to be able to have the nice relaxing bath that I was looking forward to

Pros: Very atmospheric place! Outside the windows is a real living Bangkok. Very close to all the main tourist attractions, on the next street 7-Eleven. Separately, it is worth saying about the climate of the hotel itself: small, quiet, cozy, in the atmosphere of a 70s movie. We had a very tasty breakfast every day and we barely ate it. The staff is extremely caring, professional and as pleasant as possible. The room was cleaned every day. In general, if it was possible to give more than 10, then they deserve it. P.S. pay attention to the beds, because as soon as you lie down on it, you will not want to get up anywhere.
