Sourire at Rattanakosin Island Hotel

Clean. Convenient. Comfortable.

Pros: Excellent location, nearby to everything but also quiet

Cons: The mattresses are really hard. There was light in the room all night from the corridors.

After weeks of traveling around Thailand, this was the perfect spot to recharge and just chill when we arrived in Bangko

Pros: Beautiful hotel with loads of character. It’s full of plants and greenery and feels nicely tucked away. The room was perfect for two and had all the basic amenities you need. The lady who runs it was really sweet and helpful. It was also lovely and quiet, so we weren’t disturbed at night or early in the morning. There’s some construction going on nearby at the moment, but thankfully we didn’t hear a thing from it.

Cons: We really enjoyed our stay, but if I had to mention a few small things: -The bed was quite hard, and we personally found the pillows a bit uncomfortable. -The location was a bit farther from the spots we wanted to visit than we’d expected - not a fault of the hotel at all, but if you have specific plans in Bangkok, it’s worth double checking. It’s not really close to an MRT station - the nearest one is about a 25-30 minute walk. -The bathroom was lovely, but the toilet was a bit awkwardly positioned between the sink, making the space feel slightly cramped.

A lovely few days in Bangkok and great to be so central.

Pros: Sourire was a wonderful host. We loved being so central . Comfortable beds . Lovely and clean. She gave us lots of local advice and tours available to book if if are looking for this . There were lots of improvements being completed in the area but this didn’t impact our stay and will only improve this are in the long run. We will definitely be returning .

Pros: Great location, fabulous old hotel with large comfortable room. Madame was an excellent host, extremely friendly and helpful.

Cons: Few steps up to entrance..minor complaint.

Everything in this hotel has the feel of Siam. Fabulous…..

Pros: Really get the feel of Bangkok old town in this fabulous place. Walking distance from pretty much every tourist area.

Cons: Road works on the main road.

Pros: It's an easy wander to Kohsan Road. The Sourire is a fine wee hotel that has a bar but no restaurant. If you dont mind walking for breakfast, there's plenty of alternatives available.

Cons: The infrastructure works that are ongoing obscures the street in which the hotel is located, but the street is very quiet.

Pros: My second time staying..its a lovely and quiet hotel, the owner,sourire is really friendly..its about 10 minutes walk feom the madness of kohsan ,if that's your scene

Great value for money.

Pros: The building has a very traditional Thai style decoration, which is authentic. The location is great, walking distance to some main attractions. There is a nice riverside street behind it with many nice cafes. The owner was very helpful and she plays nice music at the reception.

Pros: Great location, in the heart of the old town, but it was not loud. The staff was very friendly and did our stay there very pleasant. We felt welcomed:)
