Matini Hostel grandstation

Pros: I've seen a lot of poor reviews but I thought it was fine. It's a very orderly and practical hostel, with close proximity to train station and airport.

Pros: The location is great since it's so close to the railway station. The room was cozy and much comfortable and the washroom were clean. Great value for the money.

Cons: The room was a bit small, which wouldn't have been an issue, but the AC struggled to keep it cool. Even after we lowered the temperature, it didn't do much.

Pros: I like the cleanliness and the ambient of the accommodation.

Cons: I think the accommodation can offer in-house slippers as we cannot wear any footwear inside.

Pros: Feels brand new and is incredibly clean, bright, comfy beds, really big dorms, super quiet and big communal space for relaxing

Cons: There is a coffee machine but only the black coffee option works, so would be great if you could use the other settings on screen such as cappuccino/latte etc. More mugs/bowls/cutlery to be provided

Exceptional

Pros: Great location. Cleanliness of the place. Friendly staff.

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: The staff were extremely kind and helpful. They helped us get a taxi to the station when a sudden torrential downpour resulted in there being few taxis available, and came out to hold an umbrella over us while we waited to get into the taxi.

Pros: Great 12 minute walk from train station. Perfect for a night between trains.

Cons: 15 minute walk to get some food but that was OK really

Pros: Great place to stay! Beds were clean, facilities aplenty and free water, coffee, and tea for all guests. Friendly staff, nice lounge space. Location is very close to Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Station and the Bang Sue Junction, so very convenient if you're traveling on and off. Chatuchak Weekend Market (Sat+Sun) is around +/- 10 mins by foot, which is a great place to visit. Closest subway station is also there. Closest BTS 20-30 mins walk.

Cons: Can only think of some small things. Beds weren't too comfy and the showers + toilets always had some lingering scents going on. Probably issues with airflow due to the very high ceilings. But honestly nothing major and very good price/quality ratio.

Pros: Located just a few minutes away from Bang Sue metro and train station, and a walking distance from Chatuchak Weekend Market, it is a fair budget place to stay. And despite being close to very chaotic road, you actually do not hear traffic at all. It is a very clean accommodation that keeps high level of cleanliness also by not allowing with shoes inside. Rooms are nicely cool due to A/C, and staff is very open of you come earlier or there was no problem to leave a backpack after check out and upon return, to rest a bit before continuing with travel.

Cons: Shower curtains need a bit of update as the edges were already torn and it was tough to keep privacy. The following is a personal feeling: bed was a bit too hard for me.
