Lovely location, amazing staff

Pros: The ladies on reception there are very nice & helpful. I liked my room and the breakfast was lovely. The location is perfect, I like to always stay in this area. Close enough to the river & not too far from good cafes, restaurants, shopping. The building is a traditional old house & the feel of it is old Bangkok which I like.

Cons: Unfortunately another traveller arrived at 1am & was very noisy throughout the night so I didn't sleep much. It is a traditional Thai building without any soundproofing but this was excessive noise, not considering other guests. They do have a \

Very nice family-like experience

Pros: The building looks very traditional and stuff is extremely friendly, it gives very family-like vibes. The receptionist lady remembered what we wanted for breakfast after two nights. Hotel is in very quiet location and near Khao San. Sometimes you can hear other people closing their door etc but you can ask for free earplugs. Breakfast was very nice with a lot of fruits.

Cons: There could be more than 1 towel per person. Also this hotel lacks a lift so you have to carry your baggage by yourself. For breakfast you can choose only eggs - scrambled, omelette and fried egg with toast and fruits. I did like it but my husband doesn't eat fruit so he was a little bit disappointed.

Pros: Common area to sit if you want to buy your own things for breakfast, very good A/C!

Cons: A little bit on the louder side, doors to the rooms close quite loudly

Solid, good value place to stay in Bangkok. Clean and quiet.

Pros: Has a very authentic feel. Nice clean rooms, good air con and lots of add on facilities like laundry and mini bus trips.

Cons: I wasn’t a fan of the breakfast, but others seemed to like it so just personal choice.

Our go to option in Banglamphu

Pros: We’ve stayed here a few times. Good location off Samsen Road. Rooms are small and some don’t have windows. This actually helps keep the heat down, especially for a fan only room.

Cons: Nothing, we knew what we’re getting. Budget accommodation but clean and well run at a good price.

Good overall - I would visit again if I want a budget option. Great location.

Pros: We both enjoyed our few nights at Samsen Sam Place. We had both the two large rooms on the top floor which are massive. The staff are friendly enough. Breakfast is a little on the small and simple side but otherwise no complaints.

Cons: My shower was very low pressure. There are communal areas but on the whole people tended to keep to themselves for the most part, I can't necessarily make that a complaint about the place though.
