Great location, small room, unique experience

Pros: The location was excellent for walking to major attractions and great food. It was fun to sit on board and watch the action on the river.

Cons: Room and en suite are tiny (but it is a boat, not a hotel). We had to leave luggage outside the room to sleep, but it was fine in the end.

Pros: The boat is amazing, and my room was very comfortable. The seating areas for enjoying the view and relaxing after long walking days were the best for me. Roger and Ben were very kind and provided the most useful tips for my very short trip. I will definitely return when I come back to Bangkok.

Pros: Roger is a fantastic host with a wonderful boat, and a stay onboard is a must-do experience in Bangkok. I had a fantastic sleep with the light waves rocking me to sleep, and my morning was spent on the garden terrace at the top of the boat watching the sun rise.

Cons: If you're a very light sleeper you may be woken by the early morning boats, but this was not a problem for me.

Great experience on the river

Pros: Amazing experience on a boat on the river. Roger was very helpful and helped us out with what to do in and around Bangkok. The location is great, the gate through the market back to the boat closes at night so just go round the back to access the boat.

Pros: Fantastic host, unique experience staying on a very homely boat, watching the hustle and bustle of the river from the many vantage points on board

Great place

Pros: It was an amazing experience. Thank you for your time with you. I recommend it to everyone, but not to people who like 5-star hotels. You can climb to the roof and enjoy the view

We had a great time in Bangkok using the Sabai Sabai as our base. It was really well positioned to explore the city and

Pros: A wonderful scenic quirky and unusual spot in the middle of a busy city. The boat is moored by one of the ferry piers so you can easily get water transport around to the main sights. It also has shops and restaurants convenient on the pier and a 7/11 close by. A short walk through the university campus puts you on a road with multiple cafes, restaurants and launderettes. Basically everything you need. The mooring pier is just behind the Royal Palace and in easy walking distance of the palace and Wat Pho. The boat itself is a warm and welcoming home. The river rocks you to sleep. The views are great. The owner Roger is friendly, helpful and welcoming. There are various communal comfortable seating areas. The cabins are small but adequate. This is more of an experience than a hotel. Roger also has a boat which he takes up to Ayutthaya and back which is great way to travel to, or from, Bangkok.

Cons: We enjoyed our stay here a lot but if you have a lot of luggage it may not be the right place for you. This is a boat and the rooms are cabins and, of necessity, a bit cramped. In my opinion this reservation is more than compensated by the other unique features, it depends what you are looking for.
