Sampheng House

Pros: Spacious room, super comfy bed, pretty sure it was memory foam? Elevator in building. Washing machine on the first floor, enough hangers and space around room the hang dry laundry. Free water in the kitchen area. Smoking table first floor outside. Self check in is very easy. Decent area, close to markets and Chinatown, but in an alley so theres almost no street noise.

Cons: The way the bathroom is, the shower gets everything wet. The bathroom has an open window to outside so it was always very very hot in there. Could use better curtains, we went and turned off the hallway light because it was so bright when we were trying to sleep. There were a lot of little ants near the window at one point but we wiped them up and they never came back.

If no problems with communication, everything OK

Pros: Yes, for me it all was super easy but leaving, I met girls, who didnt found key in the box & nobody was answering messages on booking.com, neither on whats app. And the thing, that my message on whatsapp (not high importance) in not seen & is unanswered until now (3 days after check out)

Pros: Great location in Chinatown, close to the main street. Simple, clean accommodation.

Pros: Good location, easy check in and check out. Exactly what we expected. Well equipped.

Cons: Noisy, window to hallway not outside. Bit of mold in the fridge.

Basic rooms at great location, great value for price

Pros: Great location in Chinatown, easy o reach major sights by walking or taking a taxi. Easy check-in and check-out. Generally decent rooms for a low price.

Cons: We booked two rooms, one was considerably smaller than the other one. Also the AC controller was not working in one of the rooms.

Pros: Perfect location (not so much noise as it’s located in Chinatown). Very quiet street ☺️

Cons: For the money I would be expecting at least a better WC. Just few space To have a shower, and the water was all over the toilet. The floor gets flood and takes sometime to drain it. But overall good 😊

Pros: It was very clean, with comfortable bed and spare pillows. Smart tv so English channels available.

Cons: Noisy 🦜 in one of the other apartments. Also no usable fire escape in case of emergency if lift was out of action. The Whole staircase was blocked with rubbish. Kettle was provided but no cup's.

Simple and basic perfect for a short stay

Pros: I loved everything!!! I had a great stay at te Sampheng House ☺️ Clean Room, lots of clean towels, soap & shampoo!! They even provided coffee & biscuits in the common area and let me hold my bags there when I checked out 💯 one of the best stays I’ve ever had. Super helpful though WhatsApp as well ensuring u had all that I needed and answering all my questions !! Made my first experience in Bangkok one to remember !! Highly recommend as it’s in the middle of all the central attractions plus it’s super quite at night for a good sleep 🙌🏽

Pros: The hostel is located in a very convinient localisation. Chinatown is just right there. Metro is easily avaiable on foot and a water tram is just 3 minutes away. The room itself was clean and decent. The only suprise was the fact that there is no window (technically it's there but there's another wall few meters away or some construction) but it did not really matter as we spend more time oustide than inside. The host was very nice, he quickly respond to our problem which was water after shower flooding our bathroom. Overall, I highly reccommend this place in Bangkok.
