HOUSEMODE - BAANYAI @ Wongwian Yai

Okay for the price

Pros: Hotel is in an interesting area of Bangkok that has a local atmosphere. Room is clean and has a decent size. Nice lobby with washing machines.

Cons: Atmosphere of the room is not very comfortable cause the room seems to be a bit unrefurbished and old (for this price it’s okay but it is something that should be mentioned).

Fantastic short stay in the perfect little neighborhood!

Pros: wonderful cozy hostel type hotel. the rooms are spacious and very clean. the bathrooms are super clean too! there’s only 4 rooms per floor so privacy is great too!

Cons: it’s in old town Bangkok so you need to travel to the city to access Malls and bigger restaurants. Luckily there are busses running all the time and trains too. if you can figure out how to use them you’d be grand and a taxi (Bolt) from House Mode to the malls is around $5.

Overall, it was a great hotel with a great price, totally worth it and would definitely come back.

Pros: The hotel staff will always clean the room if you ask them, and give you bottled water every day. The location was nice because it was near 7/11 and food stalls where you can buy anything you need. The BTS station was also just one km away, so it was easy to access.

Cons: Maybe if the internet wasn't slow or bad on days, it would've been better. The internet was bad on nights that we badly needed it, like for work or school stuff. It's better to improve this to help tourists access to internet and find their way around.

Nice rooms, good price

Pros: Unassuming place but the rooms were excellent and very good value. Very clean, super comfy bed and quiet atmosphere. It is next to a 7/11 which is super convenient, though the surrounds aren't too pleasant. However, this place is perfect as a base if you want to use the train from Wongwian Yai to Mahachai or to explore the canals and temples nearby(both highly recommended)

Pros: Extremely clean accommodation. Cleaning staff were so friendly and offered me bottles of water every day. Spacious room with good WiFi. Nice big bathroom with hot shower at all times. I stayed here for 2 weeks as part of a working holiday. I have stayed here before and will definitely return. The staff helped me print my paperwork for onward travel to Cambodia. The launderette in reception is very convenient too.

Cons: I like everything about the place. Just be aware that it’s not the most exciting area but you can easily walk to the metro station and iconsiam.

Great stay, exactly as advertised, good location

Pros: Exactly what we needed after a lot of travelling. Room was clean, nice location (walking distance to BTS takes you directly to Siam). Really lovely garden terrace area.

Cons: Only minor thing is the lift if only for luggage, which is no problem to use the stairs apart from when feeling lazy haha.

Pros: Very quiet and very clean. Good location, buses stations and shops nearby. Pretty safe with three digit code doors. Good Wi-Fi. And AC.

Cons: Nothing really.

I had an excellent stay at Housemode Baanyai and will definitely stay there again. Highly recommend!

Pros: Very clean and tidy, good size rooms with all facilities in great condition. Friendly staff and easy check in/out. Washing machines in the reception was handy.
