See what some of our delighted guests have had to say about the Eastin Hotel in Makkasan Bangkok.

Great hotel in a good location with reasonable rates

I recently stayed for two nights at The Eastin from 26th to 28th August. I had read about the hotel on Trip Advisor and it more than lived up to my expectations!! I understand it had undertaken a huge refurbishment about a year ago so everything is nice and new. I encountered a problem with my reservation upon arrival ar 6.15am feeling exhausted and grubby being told my reservation had been cancelled. ( I'd booked and paid online 3 months prior to trip using a Co www.bookedin.com) Apparently the wholesaler was not paying the travel agents at destinations involved unbeknown to the travellers!!) Anyway the staff were great and helpful and ended up giving me a brilliant room which was huge and had two beds table chair etc. LCD TV and a great view. I later dealt with one of the front desk managers who went out of his way to help me.
The location is good being in the Makkasan area which is only minutes away from the Pathumwan district which is good for shopping and street markets. I walked all over, but a taxi or Tuk Tuk would have cost very little. It was easy to get a taxi to and from the airport and cost me 350baht each way.
I thought the buffet breakfast was really good and I also enjoyed the pool and facilities on day of departure, showering there late in the afternoon being fresh for my flight back to Sydney. It was very reasonably priced and great value.

Great service and excellent value!

Stayed for a week in the Eastin Bangkok and was very impressed. The room was large and very well appointed and the service in the hotel was immaculate...a really well run hotel where nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is situated in a really interesting part of Bangkok, with a lot of local restaurants and shops nearby (including a wonderful Burmese fish restaurant!) Breakfast was good, but if you can, upgrade to a club room for complimentary drinks and snacks in the evening from the roof top bar with great views of the city.

Great City Hotel

Hotel just about 20 minutes drive from the airport. Good location nearby shopping malls and parks. From the hotel you can take easily the taxi or Tuk Tuk to go sightseeing.

The staff is friendly and qualified. The hotel has a workout room as well as a swimming pool and massage/ spa.

Breakfast was good, with lots of Western and Asian food, as well as the possibility to have diner at the hotel.

Furthermore a travel agency is located in the hotel, to book excursions like cycling in Bangkok or River Kai tours.
